Vashlovani and Lagodekhi are the two big national parks of Kakheti Region. The first one is located in the South-East of the hottest geographical zones of Georgia, the area of which remind Savannah. The Lagodekhi Reserve is located in the north of Kakheti. It starts from Alazani Valley towards the Caucasus Range. Part of the protected area lies in the subtropical zone, which gives a special charm to the park.
