If you love hearing old stories behind of what you see, this tour is for you! It covers history of the central part of the city and all its major landmarks, as well as old capital of Georgia – Mtskheta from the sky! One of the oldest cities of Georgia, it is located approximately 20 kilometres (12 miles) north of Tbilisi. You’ve probably seen photos of the famous confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. Now it’s time to see it on your own! We will see “The Monastery of the Cross”, Jvari is a 6th Century Monastery that is, coincidentally, in the shape of a cross.
Also, Svetitskhoveli, which is arguably the most well known cathedral in Georgia. It is one of the biggest, 10-century old temple. Both buildings are UNESCO World Heritage listing because of their glorious architecture.
Tour starts from your hotel in Tbilisi and continues to famous Mtskheta.
