Sites to be visited:
Rikoti Gorge connects eastern Georgia with western Georgia; 60 kilometers-long highway lies along the Gorge.
The monastery of Ubisa - a temple of the 9th century with the mural paintings of the 14th century.
Gelati is the largest monastery complex in Western Georgia with the medieval academy (beginning of the XII century). It was built in the XI-XII centuries by King David IV, the Builder.

Sites to be visited:
Lamaria Temple was built in the X century and is considered to be one of the most sacred places in Svaneti; mural paintings date back to XII-XV centuries.
Mount Shkhara - mountain range of nine peaks, the highest one in Georgia (the highest peak is at an altitude of 5200 meters above sea level). It can be visited only from Ushguli. A two-kilometer glacier descends from the mountain.

Highland temples and villages of Kala community: the village of Iprari (the temple of the Archangel, XI century), the village of Nakipari (the church of St. George, X century), the village of Khalde, the church of Saints Kvirike and Ivlita ("Lagurka", IX century).
Overnight in Mestia.
Sites to be visited:
Kala community is one of the largest in Svaneti, with a large number of ancient temples (IX-XIII centuries); located along the gorge of the river Enguri, as well as on the slopes of the nearby mountains.

Upper station of the ski rout at the foot of Mount Tetnuldi (3200 meters above sea level);
Highland village of Adishi;
Tetnuldi Glacier (“Adishi Glacier”) - (hiking trail is 11 kilometers both ways; difficulty is easy).
Sites to be visited:
Adishi Village – is considered to be one of the most beautiful ones in Svaneti; there you can find three old temples (all three of them have mural paintings of XI-XII centuries). Walking trail to Tetnuldi Glacier starts from this village.
