Overview

If you follow the track to wine origins, it will take you to Kakheti.  Eastern Georgia well known for its traditions, wine and beauty of the surroundings. Ancient cities with beautiful cathedrals, old and one of the longest wall in Europe, delicious bread and cheese – all at once !

Tour includes:

  • Sighnaghi – town of red roofs and love
  • Bodbe – ancient monastery of St. Nino, Equal to the Apostles and the Enlightener of Georgia. According to Georgian tradition, St. Nino, having witnessed the conversion of Georgians to the Christian faith, withdrew to the Bodbe gorge, where she died c. 338-340. Initially a small monastery built at the place where Nino was buried, Bodbe is now one of the most important orthodox complexes in Georgia.
  • Tsinandali – beautiful museum of Georgian noble family and winery.  We can tell you a lot more about the Chavchavadze family estate, but you’d better go to the museum to see it yourself!

Right from beginning until the drop off, our guide was an amazing person and our companion for this one day trip. He never let us feel to be in another country. I enjoyed his company a lot. The trip was also full of beautiful scenic views. Hope to visit Kakheti again in autumn to see diversity of its beauty.

The tour was exactly as advertised - guide arrived on time and properly introduced himself. All our wine stops were amazing and informative. Our guide himself was a wealth of information. During travel, we got acquainted with different legends and stories and had a chance to take photos everywhere we would like – both the driver and the guide were very patient and helpful with all of our overturns.
